  Vaixell formerly stood head and shoulders above the other tourist-centric eateries in the immediate vicinity, but last night's visit fell somewhat short of former glories. Waited almost 20 minutes for a table despite the place being far from full and the live music was overly loud and irritating (amplified acoustic guitar guy playing classic rock covers to a strangely enthusiastic crowd of my fellow diners).

  Food was far from bad but lacked any distinction, the chipirones we started with were slightly rubbery and lacking in crunch while the fideua was decent enough but contained little actual seafood.

  Once seated service was good and the food was ok so I'd still recommend a visit - especially as one is hardly spoiled for choice in this corner of Playa De Pals. That being said, there's potential for this place to be much better than it is.
